GENERAL: Liver is particularly most vulnerable to Chronic Venous (Passive) Congestion.
it is mostly seen in Zone 3(centrilobular part) because it has less Blood supply as compared to peripheral part, so necrosis takes place.
CAUSES:
in right heart failure and
sometimes due to occlusion of inferior vena cava and hepatic vein.

Amyloidosis Liver
seen in about half the cases of systemic amyloidosis.
GROSSLY: Amyloidosis may be apparent or may cause Moderate to Mark enlargement. The slice of the liver shows rounded borders and pale colour (1) rather than usual gray brown colour.
The Cut surface is Pale, Waxy and Translucent.
